Baldwin County District Judge J. Langford Floyd

Governor Ivey has appointed J. Langford Floyd of Fairhope to serve as District Judge in the 28th Judicial Circuit in Baldwin County. A graduate of Troy State University, the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University and the National Judicial College at the University of Nevada, Judge Floyd succeeds Judge Ashley Siebert who was previously appointed by Governor Ivey to the Baldwin County Circuit Court.

“Judge Lang Floyd is well known to Baldwin County for his two decades of previous service in the 28th Judicial Circuit as a judge in both District and Circuit Court,” said Governor Ivey. “His record of jurisprudence is well known throughout the state, and I am pleased he has agreed to return to the bench after retirement to serve the people of Baldwin County.”

“I am honored that Governor Ivey has given me this opportunity to serve the citizens of Baldwin County once again,” said Judge Floyd. “I look forward to working with the lawyers, judges, court staff and most importantly, the people of Baldwin County to provide the access to justice that our citizens deserve.”

Additionally, Governor Ivey made 25 other appointments to fill vacant positions across the state. A list of those appointments is attached.
